NSW Q: We usually have our AGM in January. It is now the end of February, and notice for the AGM has yet to be received. Levies are due in March. What happens if we are late?
QLD Q: The balustrades in our old building require maintenance. They do not meet current height requirements. Can we repair the existing balustrades, or do we need to update the railing height to meet current safety requirements?
QLD Q: If we paint the front of our lot, the committee has told us they will serve us with a breach notice. Half of the committee members have painted their lots. Can we use this as a precedent?
QLD Q: If the committee member nominated as the body corporate representative on a breach notice resigns, do I need to issue a new notice or can I update the original form?
VIC Survey: Evaluation of the current management of repairs and maintenance work in medium-rise and high-rise strata-titled apartment developments in Melbourne
Researchers at the University of Melbourne
This research aims to understand how repairs and maintenance of common property in strata-titled buildings are managed. We want to gain insights into the repair process from identification to resolution. Additionally, we will explore how building information models (BIM) can be improved and utilized by OC Committees and building managers for better outcomes. Deadline: 15 June
