NSW Q: If a strata block of units is zoned residential, can someone operate a manufacturing business from a unit? The person with the manufacturing business does not live in the building but owns the lot.
QLD Q: If the body corporate uses sinking fund monies to purchase shares in a Pty Ltd company, who then are the shareholders in the case of a body corporate?
ACT Q: Our OC’s Admin Fund is in deficit and the strata manager has been paying day-to-day and reoccurring costs from the Sinking Fund. The EC has agreed to this arrangement, but the OC hasn’t agreed. Is this legal and what can be done about it?
NSW Q: If a strata management company has separate trust accounts for each scheme, is a yearly audit required on those trust accounts or is this only a legislative requirement if pooled trust accounts for all managed schemes are held in the same trust account?
QLD Q: In high-rise, residential strata buildings is a certificate of occupation required to be on display? I live in a residential strata building and I have not seen a certificate of occupation displayed.
NSW: My neighbour has a water fountain in her yard next to my patio. It is like listening to someone urinating into a toilet bowl 24/7. Although the level of noise isn't excessive, could this be considered a nuisance?
