Making the most of a substantial maintenance fund
Do you know what to include in your maintenance requests?
NSW Q: A poll vote was called and our strata committee was chosen by way of unit entitlement, not by owners who wanted to be on the committee. Is this correct?
QLD Q: Should correspondence between the secretary and the chair directly NOT via the body corporate manager be available for inspection by an interested person?
WA Q: A retaining wall is failing in our scheme. Other lot owners or the Council of Owners are not interested in maintenance or even an engineers report. What can be done?

WA Q: A fire caused by a tenant's car in the basement car park resulted in $400,000 damage. Our insurance premium has now tripled. Do the tenant's actions, under the “peace and enjoyment” of the common property, make them liable?
QLD Q: Commercial modules don't have spending limits but do they have to obtain more than 1 quote if they are spending over a certain amount, eg: $1100 (if not otherwise set)?
VIC Q: We purchased off the plan. We feel that our lot entitlement is too high compared to other lot owners that have larger lot areas on the plan of subdivision. What can be done to address this?
