QLD Q: Where/if in the BCCM Act or Residential Module does it state that an owner can put forward, at the AGM, the names of multiple Body Corporate Managers (and their quotes) for engagement as BCM - thus giving owners a choice?
NSW Q: What are the voting rights on a Strata motion mid-way through a unit’s sale process when contracts have been exchanged but are yet to be settled? Who is the voting party under these circumstances?
WA Q: Our strata is made up of both residential apartments and a resort. Every decision is squashed by the majority vote of 80% in the resort by one company.
NSW Q: Our secretary takes full control at meetings, will not let anyone make any comments or ask any questions. We all feel very bullied by this person. What can we do?
QLD Q: Given a chairperson’s duties include declaring the results of votes on motions at a general meeting, what are the legal implications, if any, of an employee of the strata manager declaring the results rather than the chairperson of the committee who is present and chairing the meeting.
