QLD Q: Our building insurance is due soon. We intend to pay the insurance premium from the sinking fund and then recover this money from the administration fund over the year as lot owners pay their fees. Is this allowed?
NSW Q: I am the sole committee person (Treasurer / Secretary and Chairperson) in our 7 lot scheme with one other lot owner as a committee member. He's only concerned is his lot. How can I remove him from the committee?
WA Q: I am a member of our Council of Owners. I am challenging another COO member as I believe that the business of the COO is not confidential and it is in fact the right of every owner to be privileged to the business of the Council of Owners.
QLD Q: If the body corporate is engaged in multi-million litigation (with another body corporate in a mixed use, multi-purpose development), is the Committee permitted, without specific body corporate approval, to settle the matter - when all it was authorised to do was respond to proceedings?
VIC Q: What is the most effective and cost-efficient way under the Owners Corporation Act to secure funding, selection of contractors and schedule of works when a 26% unit owner seeks to delay and avoid making the commitment?
QLD: When applying for an air conditioning unit approval, I received an ordinary air conditioning resolution sheet. Some of the conditions sound unreasonable.
QLD Q: At our recent fire inspection and my unit fire door failed to meet standards due to a deadbolt. I have friends with deadbolts on their unit door. Do rules vary for different buildings?
