QLD Q: We have a number of townhouses within our complex which are suffering ongoing issues with cracks internally to the building. Is the Body Corporate liable for repairs to the cracking inside the building?
WA Q: We have 4 commercial units. Our insurance has come back extremely high as one of the units is occupied by a high risk business. Should we all contribute equally to the cost of the insurance?

QLD Q: One owner wishes to alter their property but the alterations would include making structural changes to the common lot area. Does this require a resolution without dissent or is it a special resolution?

NAT: Deakin University - Strata Insurance Industry Survey
Deakin University is undertaking research with the aim of providing a comprehensive data driven analysis of the strata insurance industry in Australia and New Zealand and to demonstrate the value of strata managers to both the strata insurance industry and consumers of strata insurance.
They are seeking participation from strata lot owners in order to better understand the extent to which lot owners understand the strata insurance process, the legal requirements relating to strata insurance, and the level of interaction with manager, insurers and brokers.
