NSW Q: To help solve our resident parking problems, we would like to convert a visitor car park into a unit car space. Our strata manager tells us we can do this without having to comply with our development consent. Is this correct?
QLD Q: A lot owner with majority voting rights has installed CCTV cameras without approval. He refuses to allow footage to be viewed. Can we have the CCTV Cameras removed?
NSW Q: I have security grills in place on my bedroom windows which could not be removed during an emergency. Are there apartment fire regulations to have a quick release system installed to allow for quick exit if needed?
QLD Q: Our Annual Budget includes a single line entry of $50,000 in the Administrative Fund, simply stating ‘Consultant’. Is this permitted given that it does not apply to specific maintenance, insurance and other recurrent spending?
QLD Q: I live in a complex of 4 units. If I was to install solar panels on my roof which would not impact on any of the other units would they be insured by our Body Corporate Insurance?
