Question: Due to complaints from one neighbour, our strata is trying to take us to court over our small dog. Other neighbours confirm the dog is fine. Do I have any right to keep the dog and not get taken to court?
Question: We have efflorescence coming up through our balcony tiles. We guess a water pipe is broken inside the floor slab. Is it our responsibility to investigate where the water is coming from?
Question: Our previous Chair has been replaced but still holds a position on the committee. They behave in a very destructive manner, undermining the committee. Can the committee sanction this person?
Question: Is our strata responsible for the removal of a dead rodent from the ceiling space or wall cavity? The owner has complained about the rats several times but the council of owners have not done anything.
Question: The person who owns the management rights in our complex is also on our Body Corporate committee. Is this allowed as they are causing a multitude of trouble?
If you are either an owner of land upon which an encroachment extends or are an owner of a property that encroaches upon another person’s land, you may apply to the Court for relief.

NAT: Priorities for a post pandemic landlord-renter relationship in Australia
RMIT Invites you to participate in the research project ‘Priorities for a post pandemic landlord-renter relationship in Australia.’ We are interested in learning more about scale of the problems caused by Covid-19 for landlords and tenants. The results could help shape government action by providing research evidence into how to further assist the landlord-renter relationship. You can find out more via this FactSheet.
