Discounts on Solar Systems and LED Upgrades
City of Sydney aims to reach 100% renewable energy by 2030. One of the lowest cost and simplest options is rooftop solar. Australia currently leads the world in rooftop solar systems per capita.
To drive even more solar uptake, City of Sydney has partnered with Ausgrid to create the Power2U program, offering discounts on solar systems and LED upgrades. These discounts are in addition to all other existing rebates, and are in the form of:
- $180 / kW solar PV
- $100 / MWh for LEDs (equivalent to around 15 LEDs)
- No rebate cap. For instance, a 277kW of solar PV system would see a $50,000 rebate.
